FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Which Nomad carrier is right for me?
We offer three beautiful collections, each designed with specific fabrics and features to suit your lifestyle:

  • Nomad Air: Designed for breathability, this carrier uses high-performance microfibre with a 3D spacer mesh lining. It’s durable, moisture-wicking, and keeps you and baby cool. (Includes magnetic closures).
  • Nomad Origin: Our "comfort first" range, crafted from luxuriously soft polyester velour. It feels incredibly plush against the skin while remaining tough enough for daily adventures. (Includes our secure standard fasteners).
  • Nomad Pure: Our organic choice, made from 100% organic cotton with a bamboo tencel lining. It is sustainably sourced, silky soft, and perfectly gentle for sensitive skin. (Includes magnetic closures).

What are the benefits of the magnetic closures?
Found on our Air and Pure ranges, these magnetic fasteners are a game-changer for parents. They snap together instinctively, making it much easier to secure your baby safely and quickly when you’re on the go.

Safety & Fit

Is the Nomad carrier safe and ergonomic?
Absolutely. We are a proud British brand, and your baby’s safety is our foundation. The Nomad carrier is independently tested to meet European safety standards (EN 13209-2:2015). Every carrier is designed to support the healthy "M-position" for hips and the natural "C-curve" of the spine, ensuring your little one is supported correctly as they grow.

Will the carrier fit me?
Yes! We designed our soft, adjustable waistband to be shared comfortably between partners of all body types.

  • Minimum length: 69 cm (27 in)
  • Maximum length: 145 cm (57 in)

Using Your Carrier

When can my baby face forward?
Your baby is ready to face the world once they weigh between 13–22 lbs (6.4–10 kg). They should have full head and neck control and be tall enough for their face to sit comfortably above the body panel. We also recommend using the cinch for extra comfort , the cinch draws in the front of carrier enabling little one to be in a more seated position.

A friendly tip: The world can be a busy place! We recommend this position for short periods in quiet settings. If your baby falls asleep, please transition them back to the facing-in position or take them out of the carrier.

When can I try the back carry?
We recommend waiting to back carry until your child has strong, consistent control over their head, neck, and torso, and can independently sit up on their own. Included with the Air and Pure is a H strap which can be used to support back carry.

Warranties, Shipping & Care

Do you offer a warranty?
We stand by the quality of our British design. All Nomad carriers come with a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty. For more details on what’s covered, you can find all the information here.

Do you ship overseas?
Yes, we do! While we are a British brand, we ship our carriers worldwide so you can enjoy the Nomad experience wherever your adventures take you.

How do I clean my carrier?
Life gets messy, so we've made the Nomad easy to clean! You can machine wash it on a cold cycle (30°C). To keep the fabrics in top condition, please avoid bleach, fabric softeners, or ironing. We recommend air drying only to protect the integrity of the materials.
